Kuala Kubu Baharu or known as KKB by local, is a town in the north of Selangor.
Old town known  as Kuala Kubu was destroy by great flood in 1883, caused by broken DAM near the town. Many among the local drowned and lost their home, one of the flood victims included Kuala Kubu District Officer Sir Cecil Ranking ( during British era). Miracles when two holy places survived the flood. Buddhist Temple and malay Mosque. now this old town been known as Ampang Pecah mean "Broken Dam"

After the tragedy, the British government decided to build a new town near the remains of Kuala Kubu. Now the new town called Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB). Then since 1980's residential house been develop in the old town of Ampang Pecah and Kuala Kubu Bharu.
